Today I had a BFF over who needed a card to give a friend as a house warming card, no not me;o) So I threw these together.

She picked the DP and colours in the Saffron one so we jazzed up the envelope to match.

The Buckaroo Blue one never got finished:o(

Both cards used Stampin' Up!'s retired set called Heart & Home. I beleive it was a Ronald McDonald set in 2004????? The colours are Riddinghood and Chocolate Chip.

The Copics used in both are: B91-93-95-99, E42-43-44, YR21, YG03-05, G20.

It's official

My husband and I are now proud home owners. This has been so stressful and time consuming. I'm so happy that that step is complete. Now onto to the actual moving:o) Did I mention that we get possession on the 10th of April?

I plan on taking a break from crafting but will be up and running again for May 1st. Hopefully some of you wonderful readers will make me a card that I can post throughout the month;o)

Design Clique #17

This week we used Lost in Thoughts from Susana's Custom Art Card and Design.

I used more of the My Mind's Eye DP paired with Artichoke. My corners are notched with half pearls and I wrapped it in Taffeta.

Artfully Asian

A while ago I designed this card for my Grandmother in the pink, well recently I've needed some Thank You cards with a less feminine edge. So I thought I'd change it to Yellow:o)

I stamped the Regal/Saffron with Canvas in the same colour to give it texture and sponged and paper pierced around the edges.

First I coloured in the image in two tone Copics YR21-22 or RV32-34 with YG95. Then I used my sponge daubers two spotlight the flower and leaves in the co-ordinating colours. Then I topped everything off with Crystal Effects:o)

Card 1 is Regal Rose and Kiwi Kiss Card 2 is So Saffron and Kiwi Kiss.

Well as if I wasn't lucky enough just to have a visit from Maureen, she brought me presents to boot!

She gave me a pack of Delicate Dots Designer Paper and Polka Dot Punches Stamp Set and showed me these samples she's come across. AND BOY DO THEY WOW!

I just love how every stamp in the set has a matching punch. They look so good embossed:o)

Design Clique #16

This week I fly solo:o( I used Helz Cuppleditch's Tia with Flowers.



The DP is paired with Pretty in Pink. I added pink organza and Mulberry Dew Drops. Of course I topped it off with my Crystal Effects.

I used imaginisce DP with Saffron, Celery, and Pretty in Pink. And I wrapped it with Baja Grosgrain. I glittered my Chickie's with my 2way glue pen and Dazzling Diamonds.

Coloured with Copics: V15, B41, Y13-38, RV13, YG13.

I will add 3 Dew Drops to the bottom right corner when my daughter wakes up:o) My embellishment center is still in the front room, from the move.

Wedding Invite's Galore:o)

Well as you saw earlier I am making 60 of these invites for a friends wedding.

When a great customer/friend of mine asked if I would show her the way to make them and help her make up a mock invite to show her future DIL, I couldn't resist.

Her colours are Only Orange, Pink Passion, and YoYo Yellow and she is using Gerber Daisy's (or at least that's what we're persuading her to use;o)

We used the Gerber Daisy from Moose Friends (the Clear Dollar Stamps Set I just previewed) and with it being a clear stamp lined it up perfectly. We alternated Pink and Orange Flowers for fun and offset them for depth.

I have no idea why my camera is being a butt on this second picture? I tried taking it a zillion times and this is the best it would give me. Anyways as you can tell it's FAR from the actual colours.

To make the base of this invite cut 1" off the length of a 8"1/2 x 11" sheet. Then score the length at 2"1/8 in from either edge and then the width at 2" 1/2 in from either end. Coluzzle your ovals and Voila.

Well aint that Unique

Just made this one for fun today. It feels like forever since I've used SU! stamps.

I used Lovely as a Tree with Define Your Life. My DP is My Mind's Eye paired with Artichoke and River Rock. I stamped the tree with River Rock and the sentiment with Cocoa. I added glitter to the tree and half pearls to the scalloped edge.

I know I know.....

I've been a super bad blogger. I've just had so much going on that the thought of card making stressed me out. It's worse then it appears because I had around 10 pre-set posts that I keep in my "post bank" for "days off" that I've now used up.

Here's my excuses,

First we decided to add a roofed in porch to the front of our zero curb appeal house. Well currently everything except the stone work and painting has been completed. So no complaints there. I need the snow to pass before I complete that task.

Then I had my kitchen fire blowing my microwave and damaging my hands.

And let's not forget tax season, well I HATE preparing for that, so I bribed someone to do it for me;o) gotta love cashing in those family favors, LUV YA TINA (my other MIL)

Then we decided to buy a new house, so I diligently shopped the market and locked in with banks and brokers, we even went as far as placing an offer. Well lucky for us the offer was refused. We ended up finding over $35K in problems so PHEW! Now we've decided were buying a new house;o)

Oh then we all came down with flu, you know coughs and sneezes, aches in your bones kinda sick.

And we had to put our family dog (9yr Black Lab) Caffrey down. That was hard. He was just too sick and his organs couldn't take the meds for seizures and diabetes and gave up on him. Sad times.

Then I decided to flip our floor plan again. And shuffle the rooms around reclaiming the master bedroom back from our 2 year old, what does she need a walk in and bathroom for? So the Master became the Master (again) and the craft room became the nursery and the middle room became the craft room. This is the third flip we've done this year so my husband ain't a happy camper. But I think it's the final one, except my daughters room is out of earshot now so I have to sleep with monitor on, that scares me because of "white noise" BOO!

Okay now I'm going to bed and hopefully I'll have some time this week to make a few cards.

My Mad Cow

I made this card for the CDS PCP colour challenge.

For those of you saying WHAT? That sentience should have read like this: I made this card for the Clear Dollar Stamps Paper Craft Planet colour challenge;o)

Anywho this week the colours were Real Red, Summer Sun, Black and White.

Most designers would turn to flowers or something that shares these colours but I decided to tap into my dark side (again) and make something funny:o) I hope you like him.

My stamp is from Farm Critters (CDS) and my DP is My Mind's Eye. I used textured Red CS and Making Memories Snaps. And I used Googly Eyes to add the CRAZY!
