Baby on Board

Change of plans, er ah Hostesses.

We decided to frequent a different Party tonight and it turns out our hostess is expecting. So I threw together a gift bag of "a few of my favorite things".....Oh yeah I just sung that out loud, be thankful your reading not listening;o)

The paper is Heidi Grace and paired it with Cool Caribbean and Kiwi Kiss. The stamp is from Elzybells (Elizabeth Bell). I used my Singo Gel pen on top of her Rosy cheeks and Dew Drops with a satin heart and ribbon for my embellishments.

I coloured with Copics: BG000-02-04, E00-34-44-95.

have a great New Years Everyone and watch for me tomorrow in the English Bay Polar Bear swim cowering on the side.

Christmas RAK's

I wanted to share with you a couple Christmas cards I received from two of my BESTEST customer/friends at last nights class. They are SSSSSSOOOOOO talented.

The first card is by Sharon Law, you cant really see the glitter and decor on this card that gives it it's Vavoom but trust me it's there! It's has a sparkly glitter trail throughout the Tree highlighting the swirlies. I'm lovin' the embellishments.

The second is by Louise Trickett, I love the ornaments, layers, and colour combo:o) Oh and the adorable brads are actually snaps so they have backings on them!

I know your thinking what am I doing teaching these two card making, it should be vice versa:o)

The only explanation I have is, it must be something in the tea!

Cardegories

Tonight I had 5 of my best customer/friends over for a Christmas party and we made a Cardegories lunch box tin. It was inspired by Tori Wild's Tin that you can find here: www.wildsprinkles.blogspot.com

My choice of DSP was of course Bella Rose, but we also had a Porcelain Prints, x2 Blueberry Maine's, Sweet Always, and Washington Apple. They all looked FABULOUS! Of course I forgot to get a photo:o(

I used SU!'s Little Letters alpha to stamp "Cardegories" in Kiwi Kiss classic ink.

I used CDS's Card Categories and the Key Tag Punch to make tabs on divider sheets that specify Birthday's, Thank You's and so ons:o)

We stamped 12 calenders with SU!'s Calender, Calender Cues, and Full Calender and hand wrote the dates in.

Hope you like it, and try one of your own:o)

Bottoms Up!

I made this card for the Hostess of the New Years Party I will be attending.

I used Basic Black and Whisper White CS and sponged the Glorious Green on with my sponge Daubers after cuttlebugging. I made a Levi's tag and wrote Bottom's up with my Singo Gel Pen.

CDS Family Photo

I had fun creating this for you while waiting impatiently to announce my new design team position;o)

I used SU!'s All in the Family and Headline Alpha. I went with Blue Bayou, Basic Black, and Whisper White (to match my craft room).

The frame is from Wall-Mart.

I coloured with Copics: E00-44-47-49-95-99, BG000-72-75-78, C2-4-6-8.

Merry Christmas Everyone

Baby it's cold outside........

Driving seemed like a hazard and my husbands a huge kid so we took the quad next door to my parents house for breakfast.

First thing Alyx spotted was DORA

Then she learned to look inside. Every time she took her eyes off the toy box we filled it with more presents:o)
A slight wardrobe change and were off to the races.

Back at our house more presents waited patiently;o)

Usually I use my 64" TV as my mantel top (it's a dinosaur)

But this year we inherited a paper mache fireplace off a Christmas float we decorated for Kiwanis. In the house it came. I'm so thrilled with it it just might stay!

I wish you and yours as wonderful a Christmas as we enjoyed here:o)

My mini Scrapbook

Every time I tell someone I do paper crafts they automatically assume I'm a scrapbooker.Well I'm sad to report that I don't posses the talent for scrapbooking, so to help me I rely on Simply Scrappin Kits from Stampin' Up! I find all you need is half a pack (because there's two of everything) to make a well rounded 6x6 album. This one I put together in one afternoon to show my customers it really is all you need.

In this book I used Special Delivery Girl which is no longer available through SU!

With no embellishments on the pages I turned to sponging to give it some flare.

Now if it was only as easy to fill it with pictures;o)

What can I say?

Sorry I've been too busy all day to make something........

Thank goodness my husband had a "snow day" and was home to tend to Alyx.

I've been lying in bed dying of this flu/vertigo thingy that's been kickin' my butt for 14 days now and filling my wish list basket at Whipper Snapper's new website: www.whippersnapperdesigns.com can you believe I already own 50+ WSD stamps and can still pack the wish list FULL! They have over 3000 stamps I NEED to own;o)

Seriously how much do we LOVE IT when companies keep all our favorite stuff nice and safe and sound waiting for us?

Hop over and check it out, You wont be disappointed.

I don't give a HOOT!

Well actually I will, but to hoo.....ha ha get it?

I'm here all week, hold onto your seats;o)

Another CDS creation using What a Hoot check it out here: http://www.newcleardollarstamps.com/servlet/Detail?no=2797.

I totally stamped him sitting on his tail and realized after, that I'm clearly blind!

Luckily for me they have a mini branch in the set of @#, yeah that's me YELLING 23!
I was boggled by a set of 23 being only $7.99.

Because the stamps are clear I just stopped and started the image exactly where I wanted and VOILA I had another branch.

I used SU!'s Basic and Going Grey along with White and Black.

The crackle is a retired SU! stamp called Weathered and Crystal Effected the eyes.

I coloured with Copics: E00-34, N0-2-4-6-8.

How's everything on your end?

Where still all sick around so we made a trip into the old Doc's office today AND I'm happy to report I'M NOT PREGNANT just dizzy! I have an inner ear infection (probably from Mexico travels) that's rockin' my equilibrium.

With news that I've been getting all week who's head wouldn't be spinning!

So the question is How's everything on your end?

The colours I used were Creamy Caramel, Close to Cocoa, and Chocolate Chip.

The stamps are Clear Dollar Stamps Charlie horse and Barbed Wire.

You can find them here: http://www.newcleardollarstamps.com/servlet/Detail?no=1760

and here: http://www.newcleardollarstamps.com/servlet/Detail?no=2055

I'm a little Whipper Snapper

No really Check this out,

As I was pouting on Friday about missing the boat with PCS I received a phone call (which I missed) then an email, (which I hyperventilated over) from Lisa, ARE YOU READY FOR THIS..........VP of WSD asking me to create cards for them.

OMG can you believe it? I couldn't!

I paced, squealed, and am embarrassed to admit it, but there was even some dancing........oh to be a fly!

So I quickly responded with big old HECK YEAH!

It seems like such a silly question, would you like to earn free stamps by using stamps you already love! Should I yell it again HECK YEAH, where do I sign;o)

I really am a little Whipper Snapper now and boy oh boy I don't think God could fit a bigger smile on my face! I'm stoked to share my love for their product with you some more. This is going to be great and I couldn't do it without you, so thanx.

Merry Christmas card to her

Yesterday I showed you the Christmas card I received from Diane so I decided to show you the card I have sent her.
I used my bigshot dies from SU! for the snowflake and decorated it with 2 way glue and Dazzling Diamonds. MY CS is Baja Breeze and Soft Sky with a little Shimmery white and silver. I have no idea where my sentiment is from because at Christmas time I through them ALL in a box together for my customers to use whatever they fancy. I do however know it's SU!

Merry Christmas card to me.

I received a Christmas card in the mail last week and NEEDED to share it with you. It was from Diane Loy in Arizona. www.loyaz1.blogspot.com

One of the best things that have happened to me since starting up this blog is my friendship with Diane:o)

I look forward, hourly to her many exciting emails. We don't let anything the other would like pass us by without sharing. She's become my second set of blurfing eyes.

I'm bummed at how foggy my camera is captioning this but the first page says "and when they saw the star, they rejoiced"

The inside cover says "there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem......and fell down and worshipped him" and the base "for unto you is born this day in the city of David a saviour, which is Christ the lord"

Diane took much time and attention to detail in embossing EVERYTHING and it sure has a sharp, crisp look on the dark base. She used watered down acrylic paint to colour in the snowmen and SU!'s metallic pencils and chalks for detailing.

Diane has grown to know me so well in the past couple of months that she new to include the stamp manufacture in her inserted note. I am now in contact with her TAC (The Angel Company) consultant getting ready to place my order.

Thanx Diane for making my day with your beautiful card:o)

Happy Birthday Jessie

I usually don't give my friends cards because the all tease me for my love of crafting but while we were in Mexico Jessie was really interested and made me promise she would receive a hand made card. So this is what I came up with.

I LOVE this DSP from SU! and have been hoarding it since the catty hit. I used the co-ordinating colours Chocolate Chip, Regal Rose, Pumpkin Pie and Pink Pirouette.

I used my new Nestibilities for the first time, with Cotton Candy Stickles, Crystal Effects and Stampin' Bella's half pearls. Coloured with Copics: YR12-15-16, RV11-13-14-21, E44-47-49.

The image is Happy Birthday, by Anna Wight from Whipper Snapper Designs.

The first order I ever placed with WSD I got this set SIGNED! Can you imagine how excited I was!

Design Clique #3

This week we dug deep for an Oldie but Goodie from 2001 Stampin' Up! called Garden Snowmen. I believe it was in a mini and it is so rare that there isn't even a SCS gallery for it! I'll never admit what I paid for it on Ebay;o)

The first card is by Marie: www.marielovestostamp.blogspot.com

The second is by Tara: www.taras-paper-crafts.blogspot.com

The fourth is by Heather: www.punchdrunkstamper.blogspot.com

The last is by me:o)

I used Manchester DSP from SU! with Kraft and Vanilla cardstock.

so I missed the PCS DT call!

Well I had some really bad news today when I opened Scrampin Mama's feedburner and discovered the PCS DT has already been selected.

At first I was like "NO WAY the deadline for applying is Dec 19th I still have one week". But then I checked out their blog and learned Melissa the owner changed the due date to the 10th because she's going to be going on holiday's. She posted this on the blog on Dec 1st when I was in Mexico so I had absolutely NO IDEA.

I'm super sad about it because I LOVE PCS not only for there wicked images but also because they are based outta Burnaby, B.C. which is only about a 30 min drive from my house. OH and because I NEVER miss due dates. I pride myself on being prompt and punctual so I'm pretty down today. SUPER happy for Sarah (scrampin mama) though, she rocks!

The most painful factor in the whole thing is that I've had the application email drafted for over a month. I didn't send it in because I was wanted to include a PCS card.

I just received my PCS stamps a week or so ago and just got them cut this week. I was waiting for my Aileen's Tack it over and over to arrive in the mail so I could begin stamping.

Blah, blah, blah, excuse, excuse, excuse. It came yesterday afternoon and I made this card this afternoon after the IDP Christmas party and in between pukes so I sure hope you enjoy it.

I used making memories DSP and co-ordinating Olive, Bashful, Chocolate, and Pretty Cardstock from SU!

I coloured with Copics: YG95-97, E00-44-47-95, Y32-35, RV02-13-23, B91-93-95
I decorated with Cotton Candy Stickles and Crystal Effects.

Ribbon Weaving

When I saw that All that Scraps new challenge (ATSDTC23) was Bravo Burgundy, Old Olive and Sahara Sand I decided to quietly play along.

This is what I came up with, hope you like it. It was tricking colouring on Sahara cardstock so I had to play around with different colours to get them right. You cant really tell but his eye and one present are the natural Sahara sand cardstock.

I coloured with Copics: YG95,E02-34-55,R89 and the Very Vanilla wide grosgrain with W3 to give it that Sahara feel.

Ode to Christmas

I got a poem from my wonderful SU! sista in Edmonton, Christine. I hope you like it. I sure did!

Twas the night before Christmas, I'm glued to the tree.

I'm wondering what Santa brought just for me.

Could it be cardstock or chipboard or lace?

Or a Cricut, I thought, with a smile on my face.

And that's when I heard him, "Hi Santa," I said"

You know....good little girls should be in their beds."

"I know I should Santa, and now I've got caught but I was just so excited to see what you brought."

"Well, let's take a look in this room where you work. He shook his head quickly, and left with a jerk.

I heard him exclaim as he put it in gear.

"You've got enough crap, I'll see you next year!"

Merry Christmas!

Dauber Carzy

Okay call me crazy but I LOVE organizing and labeling. My husband bought me a label maker as a joke when we moved in together not knowing the "sticky" he was starting.

I'm not finicky about my daubers and I bounce from Craft to Classic and back to Chalk with the same one. No harm done.

Before I got my SU! starter kit in 2006 I had it all planned out. I'd order these empty stamp cases sold in four packs (still available through demonstrators) and four packs of Daubers and go label crazy.

I don't use my daubers as often as I should but when I do I have no problem finding them;o)

Infant Development Christmas Party

Some of you may know already that my beautiful daughter Alyxandria has special needs. When she was born we learnt that her and I carry a Chromosome Disease called Incontinentia Pigmenti.

Your like WHAT?
If your curious you can check it out here: http://emedicine.medscape.com/article/1176285-overview

Well since returning from Mexico on Dec 3rd I've been feeling dizzy and pucky, hence the no posts. I'm feeling a little better today and like to think I brought home a bug cause if I hear 1 more person say "pee on a stick" I might puke again!

I've been looking forward to the Infant Development Christmas party for around a month and woke up super early to get some stuff made.

It was a pot-luck lunch so I decided to go a little overboard. When I asked them what they were needing the told me salties, so I made salties!

SOOOOOOO sad I didn't get to enjoy much of it cause it looked so good.

I made some Herb & Garlic dip (from my Victorian Epicure selling days)

Egg sandwiches (from my Chickens) and Ham and Alpha sprout bunwiches.

And to finish it off some Salmon mini beagles (yes I canned the salmon myself last summer)

I think this SAHM thing is giving me cabin fever:o) It was really fun for the first year but now I got idle hands.
